How Can I Secure My Traffic Bumps After They Were Removed?

I just found out that someone removed our traffic bumps during the night and even tossed them into my woods. These bumps are really important for protecting local wildlife, as we've sadly lost many box turtles to speeding vehicles, especially Amazon trucks, on our dead-end road. They were bolted into the asphalt, but clearly, that wasn't enough. I'm considering using something like sealant, adhesive, or concrete in the bolt holes to secure them better next time. I've also decided to set up a camera to catch whoever's doing this. Any suggestions on how to make these bumps more secure?

Consider pouring some epoxy or anchor grout into the bolt holes once you put the bumps back in place. It’ll bond everything together and make it a nightmare for anyone trying to get them out. Go for a high-strength epoxy that can withstand the wear and tear.

Brilliant idea! I think I'll definitely try the epoxy.

You might want to start by rounding off the bolt heads. It makes it much harder for anyone to unscrew them. Security bolts or one-way bolts could also be a good option. That way, if someone tries to mess with them again, it’ll at least require some serious effort!

This or use rivets instead of standard bolts. Sometimes extra effort pays off with a longer-term solution!
