Considering the Laguna Fusion F2: Thoughts and Alternatives?

I'm thinking about investing in a new table saw and leaning towards the Laguna Fusion F2. However, I'm also aware that a SawStop cabinet saw is out of my budget right now. I've been eyeing the contractor model, but I've heard mixed reviews about its premium fence, which I know can be upgraded later. I'm curious about the pros and cons of the Fusion F2 and want to know if I can eventually upgrade to the T-glide fence. Additionally, I'm considering other options like the Jet Pro Shop 2 and the Grizzly G0771Z since they're a bit more affordable. Any insights?

If you're open to used options, I really recommend checking out vintage Delta Unisaws. They're typically high-quality, made in the USA, and should fall under $500 if you find one in good shape. They require some setup like degreasing and assembly, but the savings are worth it. Plus, these saws are built to last with low maintenance. Just remember, they don't pop up every day, so you'll need to act fast!

Honestly, I’d advise against financing tools like this for hobbies. It's better to buy something used for cash if possible, so you don’t have that lingering payment hanging over you. There are definitely good options if you keep an eye out on sites like Facebook Marketplace or local forums, just be patient and save up for the tool you truly want!

I think you're making a solid choice with the Laguna Fusion F2! It's a great saw, but if you can hold off, consider looking for a used model. I found a Grizzly 0691 on Craigslist years ago and it’s been fantastic for me. The price was right, and it came with extras I didn't expect. If you can afford to wait, you might grab a killer deal on a used saw without the financial stress of payments. Just keep alerts on and watch for misspellings in listings to snag those hidden gems!
