Hey everyone! I'm diving into some DIY projects and have started with turning a can into a holder for my paint brushes. I've already cut off the top, but now the edges are pretty sharp, and I'm looking for a safe way to smooth them out. I thought about using a lighter to soften the edges but I'm worried about burning the can since I don't have a backup. Any suggestions on how to make it safe to use? Thanks in advance!

You could use tape to cover those sharp edges! A simple layer of duct tape or electrical tape can help keep you safe. It’s not the fanciest solution, but it works for these types of DIY projects. Just remember, if you plan to paint it later, try to use a tape that won't leave sticky residue!

Thanks for the tip! I was hoping to paint it, so I’ll look for tape that’s paint-friendly. Appreciate it!
