How to Remove the Chuck from My M12 Hammer Drill?

Hey everyone! I accidentally dropped my M12 hammer drill and now the chuck is messed up. It's out of warranty, and I'm looking to replace it with a Rohm chuck. I've already unscrewed the screw inside the chuck, but I just can't seem to get the chuck itself to unscrew. Any tips or tricks for removing it? I'd really appreciate your help!

Try using a big Allen wrench with a hammer! Just tighten a 1/2" Allen wrench in the jaws of the chuck and give it a few taps with a hammer. The chuck should loosen up since the threads are right-handed. If that doesn't work, applying some heat with a torch can help, just be careful with the gear case!

A great method is to use penetrating oil and maybe a vice to hold the drill steady while you work on the chuck. It sometimes helps to give it time to work its magic before trying to unscrew it again.
