I just finished building my detached garage and installed insulation rolls last week. Now I'm looking to put up 5/8" plywood to cover the insulation and finish the walls. I plan to use 2.5" screws so I can easily remove them if necessary. Since the garage is wrapped with Tyvek and the insulation has a backing, I'm not planning on adding any vapor barriers. Does anyone have advice or suggestions on this approach?

Why are you going with plywood instead of drywall? Just curious, because if your garage is well-constructed and wrapped, drywall could be a good option too.

That's a fair point! Honestly, it's mostly a personal preference. I think plywood looks better than drywall, and it’s also more forgiving when it comes to hanging things. Plus, it's easier to repair from bumps and scratches.
