Hey everyone! I'm in the middle of some renovations on my old shed and I'm working on rebuilding the rim joists and band boards around the edge. I'm planning to use pressure-treated 2x6s that aren't rated for ground contact, but they'll be resting directly on 8x16 concrete pavers, with additional blocks in the middle of each side for support. I need advice on what to put between the concrete blocks and the boards to prevent moisture issues. I'm considering options like roofing paper or 6 mil poly sheeting, but I'm looking for something affordable since I only need a small amount. Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch!

I think using a post base would be your best bet! It creates a nice barrier between the boards and the concrete, and I’d be cautious about just using poly or roofing paper since they might trap moisture and not let the wood breathe. Since you’re not setting any end grain directly on the concrete, you might be fine without it completely, especially if you have good overhangs to keep things dry.
