What’s the Best Way to Deal with a Persistent Street Musician?

I've got this street musician who sets up right across from my house, and he "sings" almost every day, usually in the evening. He doesn't have a license, and the city enforcement doesn't do anything about it since they aren't around at that time. He tends to stay longer than I'd like, and I'm looking for creative ways to get rid of him. I thought about creating a Bluetooth alarm that I could hang outside, which would go off after 20 minutes to tell him to leave. Has anyone tried something like this or have better suggestions?

Why not just sit next to him with a portable speaker and blast some loud, bad music? It'll definitely drown him out! And if you're feeling sneaky, you could tip him with counterfeit bills; that might keep him away for a bit!

One wild idea is to set up a mic and play back his performance right in front of him! It could weird him out enough to leave. Also, if you get a squirt gun, you could get him soaked if you get close enough! Just make sure not to take it too far though!

If you delay the playback a bit, you might create a speech-jammer effect, which could really confuse him!

Lol, I like the squirt gun idea, but I feel like that might just be too much effort for me. Instant playback is definitely the way to go!

Have you tried just talking to him? You seem like you've tried your best, but maybe you could ask him to play somewhere else? It's worth a shot without causing a scene.

I've talked to him a bunch, both nicely and when I was frustrated. He doesn't really respond well since he has some issues, so I'm at my wit's end.

Why not grab your own instrument and jam along? You don’t need to be a pro; in fact, not knowing how to play could make it even funnier! Just join the show!
