I need help figuring out how to remove this doorknob. I've already taken out the two screws that attached it to the door, but it's still stuck to the mechanism inside. I've tried using a small screwdriver in the hole to release it, but I can't see what I'm doing in there. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Just a heads up, some older doorknobs are threaded. If that's the case for yours, look for a set screw that needs to be loosened. You’ll need to turn the knob to unscrew it from the rod after that. Once you’ve done that, you can pull the knob off from the other side of the door. Good luck!
It sounds like you need to remove the knob first. That hole should allow you to push in a mechanism to release it, but it's probably not a screw. Just push the knob in and pull it out. Once you get the knob off, you should see screws behind the escutcheon that you can unscrew to finish up!

Thanks a ton, that did the trick!!
