I've noticed that our basement floor and drywall have constant wet spots, even though we have drainage, a dehumidifier, and a sump pump in place. I've heard it's a common issue in Michigan, but is that true? Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I live in Indiana, and I totally get where you’re coming from. Many basements here are built without the right water management systems. If your place doesn’t have an exterior French drain or waterproofing, it can be a real issue with snow melt and spring rains.
Not to be a downer, but if your drywall is getting wet, you might have a leaky foundation. What do you mean by "home workers"? It’s definitely not normal to have a wet basement like that, especially if you’re taking steps to prevent it.
Yeah, it’s pretty common for homes to have this issue in Michigan, especially if the water management is not done properly. It sounds like there might be bigger problems than what your drainage and dehumidifier can fix. It's worth checking out more thoroughly.
