Hey everyone! I'm trying to understand the differences between Canna Indica and what's commonly referred to as Canna lilies. I want to be able to tell them apart! Thanks in advance for your help!

So, 'Canna lily' is actually a broad term for plants in the *Canna* genus. On the other hand, *Canna indica* is a specific species within that genus, and it's one of the most commonly cultivated ones. Interestingly, it’s also one of the first plants that were cultivated in the Americas, plus its roots are edible!

Thanks for clarifying that! Is it just any Canna with edible roots, or is it specifically the Canna Indica?
