What essential tools do I still need for woodworking?

Hey everyone! I'm fairly new to woodworking and I'm working on building out my workshop step by step. So far, I've got a table saw, a miter saw, and various sanding tools like orbital and belt sanders. I'm focusing on making small furniture pieces like desks and shelves, as well as cutting boards. While I believe that a planer would be the next crucial tool to help me flatten and thickness lumber, I'm also aware that some folks suggest getting a jointer. Personally, I think I can get by without a jointer for now with some creative cutting methods. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what tools are essential next and what order I should consider getting them in. Thanks!

A router could really enhance your toolkit! But honestly, I recommend just picking up tools as you need them for specific projects. This way, you won't overspend on unnecessary gear right away.

That makes total sense, I'll keep that in mind!

I'd say your next must-have is definitely a drill. Along with that, don’t forget clamps and a speed square. Get started on a project, and you’ll figure out what else you might need along the way.
