Hey everyone! I'm looking to set up my extra fridge in the garage, but I only have a GFCI outlet available there. What can I do to ensure that my fridge operates safely and doesn't cause any issues?

There's really no reason your fridge wouldn't work on a GFCI outlet. They handle fridges just fine, so you should be good to go!
If you're worried about the GFCI tripping, it might help to plug your fridge into a universal power supply. Fridge motors can sometimes trigger GFCIs unexpectedly, but a UPS will alert you if that happens. This way, you can take action before risking any food loss.
Just to add to that, you might want to look into GFCI outlets that come with alarms. I have one for my kitchen fridge, and it sounds off if it trips, which is super handy!
