Can Plastic Shrink Wrap on Windows Block Outside Odors?

I'm dealing with a frustrating issue—my neighbor's dryer vent is aimed right at one side of my house, and the smell from her laundry often seeps in. I've heard about using plastic shrink wrap on windows, but will that actually block the odors? If it doesn't work, are there any other easy DIY methods to seal my windows and keep those scents at bay?

While it's great that you're considering plastic shrink wrap, it may not be a perfect solution for blocking odors. Your windows should already provide a good seal. Have you checked if the smells are coming in through other gaps? That could be the issue.

I think it has to be the windows since the smells from the laundry on the other side don’t reach me, and I have no windows there.
