Hey everyone! I've been having some trouble with my Radial Arm Saw (RAS). It seems like the blade is wobbling or unbalanced when it's spinning, but I've tested two different blades and they are both perfectly straight. I also checked them on my table saw, and they spun without any issues there. The arbor appears to be in good condition as well. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this?

It sounds like the flange on the arbor might be the issue. Sometimes if it’s not perfectly flat or has any irregularities, it can cause the blade to wobble even if it looks straight.

That’s interesting! I checked the flanges without the blade, and they seem to spin straight too. But there are some scratches on them that might be throwing things off. One scratch runs all the way around, like something was pressing against it while it was moving. I guess replacement might be the way to go.
