I'm in a job that I don't really enjoy and have a huge passion for plants, especially indoor ones, but I know most plant-related jobs might not pay as well as what I currently earn. I teach people about plants and how to care for them, and I'm curious about what kinds of jobs are out there that allow me to work with plants every day. If you work in a plant job, I'd love to hear about what you do and, if you're comfortable sharing, what the pay is like. I'm just looking for some ideas on feasible options for my future!

I tend to 30 acres of greenhouses every day, and honestly, it’s been a life-changer for me. I used to be pretty lost about my career, but getting into plants has given me purpose. I deal with flowering shrubs and trees, doing some grafting in winter. It's definitely a physical job compared to my old construction gig, but I wouldn't trade it for anything! Plants have changed my outlook on life completely, and I'm now planning to run my own greenhouses someday. So, if you love plants, it’s worth it!

Did you start in a low-paying job when you began working with plants? I'm just wondering how long it took you to reach a more comfortable salary, as I see a lot of listings for senior positions that just seem out of reach.
