I'm looking for some advice on what to plant under my trampoline, which is a 12ft round model that stays up all year. It's a hassle to move, so I mow around it, but there's a central part that my mower can't reach. I was thinking of digging out a circle underneath and planting something that loves shade and stays green, so I don't have to worry about weeding underneath the trampoline. Does anyone know of any evergreen perennials that would work? I'm also considering a collection of low-growing hostas—thoughts on that?

You might want to consider some Lamiums or Vinca minor; they do well in the shade and are pretty low maintenance. Creeping Jenny could work too, but it tends to spread if you don't keep an eye on it. Also, hardy geraniums might be a good fit! They can brighten up the spot without growing too tall.
Just a heads up—hostas aren't evergreen! They could end up turning into a snail haven under there. Ivy is an option, but be careful since it might take over everything. I’d recommend some shorter hardy geraniums or decorative Lamiums instead. They’re nice but do die back in winter, just so you know.
Have you considered Rubus tricolor? It’s evergreen and does just fine in the shade. It could make a lovely addition!
Some dryopteris ferns could be a great choice for that shady area. They're pretty resilient and would look nice under there.
Check out London Pride; they thrive in shady spots and can handle a bit of rough treatment. They’re evergreen and stay low, perfect for under the trampoline!
Bergenias are like the tanks of the plant world! They’re perennials, can handle a bit of cutting back, and they bloom in late spring. Definitely worth a look!
