I'm wondering about the best time to collect flower seeds. Do I have to wait until the seed heads are fully dry on the plant, or can I collect them while they're still green and just dry them out indoors?

It's generally best to let the seeds dry right on the plant. If you wait until they turn brown, you're more likely to get viable seeds. You can pick them before they're fully dry, but it can be tricky to tell when they're truly ready. If you’re not sure, drying them on the plant is the safest bet!
I always let my seeds mature until the seed pods are dry. This way, you'll definitely know they're ready. If the weather's not on your side, like if heavy rain is approaching, it's smart to bring them indoors to finish drying. Better safe than sorry!
Totally agree! Rain can ruin them if they're not dry yet.

Good to know! I was worried about the weather ruining them, so I'll keep an eye out.
