Economical Options for Covering a Concrete Floor in a Storage Building

I'm looking for cost-effective solutions to cover the brushed concrete pad in my new 20x30 ft storage building. I've considered paint but heard it can peel over time, which I want to avoid since it would mean a lot of work to strip it and redo it. Epoxy is too pricey for us at around $800 for the recommended two coats, and I'm worried it could peel too, leaving us frustrated. I've thought about using roll vinyl if I can find it on clearance, but I'm concerned about moisture from the concrete causing mold under it. Outdoor carpeting is also on the table, but I'm worried about costs and mold too. Ideally, if we found discounted vinyl at 50 cents a square foot or less, we'd consider that. My wife wants something easier to clean than bare concrete since we could track in mud, but I'm cautious due to mixed reviews on sealants. Any budget-friendly suggestions?

Honestly, just go with leaving it bare! It’s a storage building; if it gets dirty, you can just hose it down. No maintenance worries and it keeps things simple. You might want to skip the fuss with coverings.

Why not consider staining the concrete? It can add some color and make it easier to clean compared to plain concrete. There's some good options out there, just check out a concrete stain supplier for different colors. I used Ironite on mine—it turned out great!

Does staining actually help with cleaning though?
