Hey everyone! I'm starting my woodworking journey and I need some help finding high-quality measuring tools. Since I'm based in the EU, I want to know which brands are reliable and which ones I should steer clear of. I've noticed that when I search on Amazon, I get bombarded with a lot of no-name brands that seem a bit sketchy. I'm particularly interested in tools like speed levels, combination squares, try squares, and bevel gauges. I'm open to spending a bit more for tools that are durable and precise. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

For high-quality measuring and marking tools, you should definitely check out KMtools. They have a pretty solid selection, but be aware that their tools can be on the pricier side.
If you're in Europe and measuring in metric, definitely look into Benchdogs' tools. They have some awesome measuring options, especially if you're using a track saw.
If you're looking for a combination square, I highly recommend Starrett. They’re known for their precision. Another brand you might want to check out is Shinwa; I've had great experiences with their measuring tools as well. Honestly, anything I've bought from those brands has been spot on!

Totally agree! Just hoping Starrett can sort out their quality control after that private equity buyout.
