Help! My Mom Put My Indoor Plants Outside and I’m Devastated

I just moved back home and my mom decided to take my strictly indoor plants, which have only ever lived in a cooler city, and put them outside in the heat of 90+ degrees. I admit I hadn't watered them before the move because I didn't want the extra weight, but they were all alive and well when I brought them home. Now, after under a week, they're looking pretty bad, and I'm heartbroken since I've been growing some of them from clippings for two years. Does anyone have tips on how to revive my Swiss Cheese Plant (Monstera Adansonii), Velvet Leaf Philodendron (Philodendron Micans), Tradescantia Zebrina (Evanesce or Flame Dance), and Monstera Karstenianum (Monstera Peru)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I think your best bet is to prune any dead or damaged parts off your plants and give them a good watering. Just be careful not to overdo it with the water. Keep an eye out for new growth; if the roots are still alive, you might just see some green pop up!

Totally agree! I’d recommend checking for signs of life for at least a couple of weeks. If nothing shows up by then, it might be time to let them go. It’s tough, but sometimes plants just can’t handle the stress.

I can totally relate to your situation! My mom also destroyed my plants after I moved back in for a while. She thought she was helping, but ended up putting them outside without watering. It’s such a bummer. I really hope you can save some of yours. If not, just hold onto your memories and remember, you can always start fresh!
