How to Care for My Aeonium Plant?

Hey everyone! I'm seeking advice from anyone who has experience with Aeoniums. My mom brought one back from Spain, and now a part of it is living with me. It's currently potted in a peat-based houseplant mix, but it seems a lot thirstier than my other succulents. We usually use a seramis mix for them, which has worked really well, but I'm wondering if I should repot the Aeonium or stick with the peat mix? Also, do Aeoniums require cooler, dry winters? What soil do you use for yours?

Aeoniums are actually winter growers, so they need more water during that season. In summer, they go dormant, and that's when you can cut back on watering. I've got mine in a standard succulent soil mixed with perlite for good drainage, but I haven't used SERAMIS, so I can't really compare. Just remember to soak the soil and let it dry out completely before watering again! I posted a pic of one of my Aeoniums, I've got about ten different types. Love 'em!

Thanks for the heads up! I would have let mine dry out in winter if not for you. By the way, I'm using SERAMIS which holds water pretty well—about two days dry for me in summer. I guess they do need a lot of light in winter too? Your Aeonium looks awesome!
