I'm new to some maintenance tasks at work and need to drill screws through parquet and into concrete. I'm trying to figure out if I need an impact driver for this, or if a hammer drill would be more suitable. I've heard that I could use a hammer drill to create a hole and then use a cement anchor for the screw. Do any tool combinations exist for these tasks? Are hammer drill-driver kits worth it? I would love any advice from people who know more than I do!

Best approach is to use a hammer drill to create your pilot hole. You can either use regular screws with anchors or just use tapcon screws directly without anchors. Once the hole is drilled, it shouldn't take much effort to drive those screws in!
If you're drilling into concrete, you definitely need a hammer drill. An impact driver is more for driving screws or tightening nuts, not so much for drilling. There are hammer drill-driver combos, but honestly, they're not that great. Stick with a dedicated hammer drill for concrete work for better results!
