I recently had a new AC and furnace installed at my house in early July. Most of the time, everything works well, but I've noticed something strange. When the AC is cooling, the airflow occasionally weakens for about two seconds before returning to normal. This inconsistency happens at random times—sometimes back-to-back cycles, or other times three minutes apart. I mentioned this to the AC technicians; they replaced the blower motor in my furnace, thinking that might be the issue, but the airflow problem still occurs, albeit less frequently. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?

Did you buy a variable speed system? My setup has a feature where it starts on a low speed for the first minute to help the unit stabilize. More advanced models will continuously adjust both the compressor and blower speeds. If your contractors didn't explain that, it might be worth bringing up again.
It sounds like you might have a variable speed system. These systems are designed to adjust airflow based on demand, which can sometimes lead to brief fluctuations. It's weird that they didn't mention this when you raised the issue, though. Have you checked with them about the specifics of your unit?
Maybe it's a power surge issue? If something else in your home demands a surge of power, it might cause a temporary dip in voltage, affecting the AC's performance. Have you noticed any flickering lights when appliances kick on? Just a thought!

I don't think I got that either. When I showed them the video of the airflow changes, they jumped to replacing the furnace, which makes me think they really didn't understand what was going on.
