Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my Powerstack 1.7Ah battery. It works inconsistently with my DCD794 drill driver: I often have to pull the trigger several times, sometimes pausing in between, just to get it going. At times, it only runs briefly before stopping altogether. However, it works flawlessly with my Dewalt DCL050 light. I'm also experiencing issues when I try to charge it; the charger blinks three times before stopping, and it can take multiple attempts to get it to start charging. The battery is out of warranty, and I'm wondering if anyone else has faced similar issues and if there's a way to fix it. Is it possible this is a counterfeit battery? My other batteries function perfectly fine.

It doesn’t seem like fake Powerstacks exist, but they’re tough to repair. My advice would be to recycle it. Since it works well with your DCL050 light, it might make sense to just keep it for that purpose!

Yeah, that’s what I’m leaning towards. I just wish I knew why it struggles with higher-draw tools. Thinking about taking a peek inside to check for any visible issues.
