Hey everyone! So, my toilet's braided water line burst, and I'm in a bit of a mess. The connection at the base of the tank broke apart, and when it happened, I nearly lost it! I've turned off the water supply line at the wall behind the toilet, but it feels like it's still leaking a little. I even reattached the old line with the braided end pointing up, but water is still seeping out. Am I missing something to stop the leak?
Also, I'm wondering if I should just replace the line tomorrow or if there's something more complicated I need to address? Any tips to manage this until the morning would be really appreciated. Thanks a ton!

It sounds like the water might actually be coming from the tank rather than from the wall. If you listen closely, do you hear that filling noise? That's an indicator. If you’re catching some water in a jar, it's likely the shut-off valve isn't fully sealing. Old valves can be tricky, so if it feels snug but still leaks, that could be the issue.

I dried everything off and confirmed the jar catches the leak. I’m convinced the issue is with the wall line because it still feels tight but water is creeping through. I might need to adjust the shut-off valve, but it seems solid.
