Should Milwaukee Make Smaller 2.0/3.0 Batteries for Their Tools?

Hey everyone! Just wondering if anyone else thinks that Milwaukee should consider making smaller Forge batteries like a 2.0 or 3.0? I know they have the 8.0, but as an electrician, I prefer the more compact batteries when I'm on the job. I mostly use my M12 tools, so having a smaller, more powerful battery option would be awesome. What do you all think?

It seems like a lot of people feel the same way, but I've heard there are no plans for smaller M18 batteries in the near future. They might focus more on their M12 series for now, which is a bummer since competitors like Dewalt are really stepping up with their smaller battery options. It's frustrating as a user!

Totally get that! If I had a big platform, I’d definitely ask them about it, but being just an average guy makes it tough. ?

Yeah, it’s been a while since we’ve seen any advancements in that area. The last smaller M18 options came out ages ago!

There’s definitely potential for a 3Ah battery that would fit into the same design as the current smaller models. Using newer cell technologies could really up both capacity and weight efficiency! I'd love to see that comeback with a 9Ah HD version for even more power.
