I'm mounting a 70lb, 65-inch TV onto a wall that's covered with 1/2 inch white pine shiplap over drywall. The TV mount I have comes with 2 3/4 inch lag bolts. Since I've confirmed that all four lag bolts will go into studs, I'm wondering if those lag bolts are sufficient or if I should look for longer bolts. I just want to make sure I do this safely the first time around.

Those 2 3/4 inch lag bolts should be more than enough for a 70lb TV, especially since you're anchoring into the studs. These bolts are super strong, and your setup should hold just fine. If you're still worried, you could always do a test by pushing on the mount with some weight, but honestly, you shouldn't have any issues with what you've got!
You shouldn't have any problems with those bolts. They’re plenty strong, and with over an inch of length going into the stud, that's a good setup. By the way, which 65-inch TV are you mounting? Just curious if it's one of those newer models.
Honestly, you'll be safe with those lag bolts. The first few threads of a bolt do most of the heavy lifting, and since you’re going into the stud, that's where the strength is. I actually do pull-ups on my mounts just to be sure, and if it can hold me, your TV will be a breeze!
