I'm looking for some advice on how to improve the battery life when using my 18V circular saw. I mainly use it for cutting hardwood flooring and underlayment, and it seems like both my standard and larger batteries die pretty quickly while I'm working. Often, I find myself with all my chargers plugged in, but they're just charging slowly. I replace the blades frequently and try not to push too hard, but it still feels like the saw runs out of juice faster than I'd like. Any suggestions?

Yeah, getting a faster charger can definitely help! Also, consider using bigger batteries if you're not already. You didn't mention what sizes you have, but seriously, an upgrade could make a big difference. Alternatively, if you're mostly working indoors, you might want to think about switching to a corded saw since you'll have access to power anyway.
One way to tackle this issue is by upgrading your charger. I switched to a 6ah charger, and it can fully charge my larger 6ah+ batteries in about an hour. There are also fast-charging options available, like a four-slot charger that can handle up to 8ah for each port, which might speed up the process for you.
For longevity, I’d suggest getting some 8ah or 9ah batteries. They would provide much more runtime, especially for flooring projects. Also, if you’re looking for suggestions on other tools, consider a DCS577 or DCS578—they might suit your needs better than what you currently have.
