Also, your manual's recommendation to connect terminals separately usually has safety reasons behind it—could be about preventing short circuits or balancing the load more effectively.
That's a tricky question! For reference, Tesla's Powerwall costs significantly more but offers 30 kWh. So, if you're calculating per kWh, it might seem reasonable, but it really depends on what you're getting with that battery—shipping, installation, and rebates can add or take away value from your purchase.
