What’s the Cost to Build a Greenhouse with Raised Beds?

I'm thinking about getting a greenhouse built that includes raised beds inside. I want it to have a brick lower section, with glass and wooden frames above. Has anyone done something similar? I'm curious about the overall costs involved in this kind of project.

I actually built my greenhouse without concrete by using untreated oak garden sleepers. They’re about 2.4m long and 100mm thick, costing around £40-45 each. My setup raised the greenhouse by 400mm, giving me more headspace. I made an L-shaped bed inside, and everything together (a good quality 8x12 greenhouse with toughened glass, vents, and a potting bench) cost me around £4200, including all the sleepers and a bag of hardcore for the foundation. No labor costs since I did it all myself, but be prepared—those sleepers are heavy!

Sounds like you're looking for an alpine house? That's what I thought when I read your description. I have 10 citrus plants and am on the hunt for a permanent house myself. Good luck with your search!

I wasn't sure what it was called! I’ll definitely look up "alpine house" now.

I have a greenhouse on my allotment that's all glass, with beds inside it and a pathway in between. The total cost really depends on how deep you want those raised beds and if it's going on a paved area or straight onto soil. Definitely something to consider!
