I'm transitioning from growing cannabis to starting a vegetable garden, specifically tomatoes, in my grow tent during the off-season. I've got four Early Girl seedlings that just sprouted and I'm eager to know how to optimize their growth. What are the recommended temperature and humidity levels for growing tomatoes in a tent? Should I provide them with 12 hours of light, like with cannabis, or is a different schedule needed? Also, do I need to keep the tent fully zipped up, or can I leave it slightly open for some basement air circulation? Any insight would be appreciated!

A lot of growers suggest starting with tomatoes because they share similar growing needs to cannabis, making them great practice. After tasting homegrown tomatoes, you'll find that store-bought ones just don’t compare! Just a heads up, make sure you adjust the nutrients when you switch - tomatoes need less nitrogen during fruiting and different light conditions compared to cannabis.
