Hey everyone! I'm curious about how you water your plants. Do you stick with regular tap water, go for bottled distilled water, or maybe even have a water distilling system at home? I'm particularly wondering if there's a noticeable difference between using tap water versus distilled when it comes to keeping plants healthy. Also, if any of you do distill your water yourself, I'd love to hear what equipment you use!

It really varies by plant. Some, like my carnivorous plants or sensitive species, definitely prefer distilled or rainwater due to the minerals in tap water. If you're using tap, just keep an eye on how your plants respond, and maybe mix in some filtered water if you notice any issues.
For me, I switched to collecting rainwater, and wow, my plants are thriving way better than they did with tap! But I guess it really depends on your local water quality. If your tap water is hard, you might want to consider a reverse osmosis filter; they're pretty affordable these days!
I usually just use tap water, but I let it sit in a watering can for a day or so before using it. This helps get rid of some chlorine. A biologist friend of mine suggested this method, and honestly, my plants have been doing just fine!
That’s a solid tip! It’s great to hear that your plants are thriving with tap water.

Totally! My calatheas are a bit picky too; they get nothing but distilled water.
