I'm looking for advice on using white landscape fabric or plastic mulch in my garden since I dread battling Bermudagrass again this year. I noticed a reflective white type on the Dewitt website, but I'm worried about the glare whenever I'm outside. Has anyone used this type of fabric, and what are your thoughts on its effectiveness?

If you're going for clear plastic instead, just make sure to set it up when it's hottest outside. That should effectively kill the grass underneath. Woven fabric won't really stop Bermudagrass as it can still push through or seed on top of it. We had a tough time with it in our yard until we switched to occultation with layers of cardboard and black plastic. It was super effective and cheap, plus it took very little effort to set up!
Honestly, landscape fabric isn't great. It tends to break down and shed plastic, plus eventually, weeds will find a way to thrive on top of it. I've found that using cardboard works way better! It creates a natural barrier that really cuts down on weed growth without the mess.
Exactly! We struggled with that too until we ditched the fabric. The cardboard and black plastic combo really made a difference for us.
