How to Mount a TV that Can Be Pulled Down for Sim Racing?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for a way to mount a TV on my wall but with a twist: I want to be able to pull it down (at least 3 feet) and turn it 90 degrees for my sim racing setup, which sits perpendicular to the wall. Regular wall mounts I've checked out don't offer this functionality. My goal is to easily switch between watching TV and sim racing without having to disassemble anything. Any suggestions?

Have you considered using an articulating mount or even a ceiling mount? They might give you the flexibility you need to pull it down and adjust the angle for sim racing.

I’ve got a mount from MantelMount for my TV over the fireplace, and I love it. It works perfectly for pulling down and adjusting. Check it out [here](https://www.mantelmount.com/).

I’ve seen those, but dang they can be pricey!

If size and weight aren’t an issue, gas spring lift mounts are a great choice! They're often used for sit/stand desks and work well for setups like yours. Check out this one [similar to this one](https://www.amazon.com/MOUNTUP-Computer-Adjustable-2-2-17-6lbs-100x100mm/dp/B0B58MDJRR/). They come in various sizes too—like this larger one for TVs [here](https://www.amazon.com/PUTORSEN-Premium-Ultrawide-Monitor-Adjustable/dp/B0CF5935M4/).

You could try drop mounts available on Amazon. They might have what you’re looking for when it comes to versatility.
