Hey everyone! My husband has developed a real passion for woodworking over the past four years. He primarily makes cabinets and bookshelves, and has even completed several projects this year alone! With his birthday coming up, I'm hoping to find the perfect gift that ties into his newfound hobby. I haven't bought him anything woodworking-related before, but now seems like the right time. I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for tools, wood, or anything else that might help him out. I know a little about his tools (he's got a lot of Bosch gear), but I'm pretty new to woodworking myself and could use some guidance. Thanks so much for any advice! <3

Another idea is to give him wood as a gift! Go to a local lumber yard and ask for suggestions based on his project interests. Getting a bunch of high-quality wood could make his day! Sometimes tools can be tricky to buy without knowing his personal preferences, but wood gives him the freedom to create whatever he likes.
Clamps are the MVP in any woodworking shop! You can never have too many. I recommend long clamps that match the width of the pieces he works with. They really come in handy, trust me!
Are clamps really that important? Everyone keeps saying that. Thanks for the tip! <3
What about a good hand plane? If he doesn't already own one he loves, a Lie Nielsen No. 5 1/2 is fantastic. It really elevated my woodworking skills, and it's superb for various projects!

So you're saying wood would be a great gift? That's a unique idea!
