Help! My Aloe Plant is Drooping and I Don’t Know What to Do

I've been given this aloe plant by my brother-in-law after my mother-in-law passed away, and I'm feeling pretty down about it because it seems to be dying. I've only had it since June, but I've already changed the soil to a mix meant for cacti, palms, and citrus, and even got it a new pot with a light. Despite all this, it's still drooping. I'm trying to stay hopeful, but I really need some advice because I'm not finding help from other sources.

Give it some time! Just like us, plants need to adjust to new homes. You've changed its soil, pot, and added light; that’s a lot of change all at once. Don’t be too hard on yourself; even experienced plant owners lose some now and then. Just be patient!

Okay, I’ll try to be more patient.

What kind of plant do you have? A picture would help! Knowing exactly what you're dealing with can make a big difference in figuring out what's wrong and how to help it. If you can’t upload, maybe just describe it more?

I can’t add pictures to my post yet, but I can share a before and after link if that helps!

How often are you watering it? Aloe plants prefer to dry out between waterings, so if you’re watering when the soil feels dry, that sounds about right—maybe once a week. Just make sure it's not getting too much water too frequently!

I water it when the soil is dry, about once a week.
