Frustrated with the Gap Between My Pergola and House – Need Fix Ideas!

I bought my house about two years ago and have been focused on renovating the interior. Now, I'm tackling the backyard and dealing with a pergola that has a decent structure but a frustrating issue. There's a gap between the pergola roof and my house's roofline that collects rainwater, and I can't seem to find a way to install flashing to keep it from leaking. Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this?

One option is to install a gutter in that gap. It might seem tricky, but gutters can channel the rain away from the area and prevent the leaks you're dealing with.

Before getting my roof done, my neighbors had a similar issue. They put in a gutter and haven't had any problems since. Just remember to make sure everything is properly sealed!

I thought about that too, but I spoke to a couple of gutter companies, and they said they couldn't install one due to limited access in that space.
