What Happens If I Apply Too Much Oil at Once on My Sanded Oak Table?

I recently sanded my oak table and decided to use oil to maintain its finish. However, instead of applying three thin layers with two-hour intervals as recommended, I ended up applying all the oil at once. I'm worried about the potential risks for my furniture. Is it going to be alright?

You're in a bit of a wait-and-see situation now! With all that oil applied at once, it might not dry properly. You could end up with a sticky finish or uneven spots since it's essentially a thick coat rather than three separate layers. Just keep an eye on it and see how it turns out!
