How to Keep Spiders Out of My Jetted Bathtub?

Hey everyone! I have this big jetted bathtub that I rarely use because we're on a well and try to save water. I always check the tub for anything before I fill it, but last night while enjoying a hot bath, a giant black spider floated past my legs. I freaked out! My husband thinks it probably just fell in, but I'm not convinced it didn't come out of the jets. Should I be worried or is my panic overblown? Should I seal the jets with duct tape or just leave them be?

Honestly, if a spider situation like that happened to me, I’d probably just ditch the jetted tub altogether and install a nice shower instead, haha!

Haha, I do have a shower! Just trying to manage my leg issues with some soaking.

You should definitely think about running your jets once in a while and maybe pick up a cleaner for them. When jets are unused for long periods, mold can build up, and that could attract all sorts of creepy crawlies. If you’re not keen on using them, some folks have swapped their jetted tubs for regular ones—it might just save you from future spider surprises!

That sounds like a plan! I think I’ll tape them up for now and look for cleaner before making any major changes.

I found some bathtub jet covers on Amazon that you might want to check out. They help keep out any unwanted guests! Plus, don't forget to use that cleaner and run the jets occasionally to avoid buildup.

Great tip! I’ll search for those covers right now.
