Can I safely use treated water for sensitive plants?

I'm wondering if it's safe to use water that has been treated with a specific additive on my plants that are described as "water sensitive." I want to ensure I'm not harming them, but I'm not quite clear on how this additive interacts with different plant types. Any advice?

That additive is meant to help with water quality, but you shouldn't use it directly on your plants. If you have sensitive plants like Calatheas or Marantas that react to chlorine in tap water, you can mix a few drops with your watering can. Just stick to the recommended dosage on the bottle, usually a few drops per gallon.

Oh, I should've clarified! I meant using water that's been treated, not pouring the additive straight into the soil.
