Is It Possible to Jump Start a Motorcycle with a 4S LiPo Battery?

Hey everyone! I'm wondering if I can use a 4S LiPo battery to jump-start my motorcycle's 12V 12Ah battery. I know that jump packs can be pretty bulky, and since I'm looking for something compact for road trips, I'd like to know if this alternative could work. Any insights would be appreciated!

Yeah, it should work! I've used similar setups before, even with power tool batteries. Just remember, pockets of space matter on a motorcycle, so a good compact jump pack is worth looking into. They often pop up on sale, so keep an eye out for deals, especially through coupon apps!

There are jump packs out there that are almost as small as the LiPo battery in that video, definitely worth buying instead of making your own! Just check online retailers for options—many have user-friendly sizes for bikes, so you won't have to settle for bulky ones.

Can you share some links? I haven’t seen many that are small enough.

Check Amazon or battery specialty sites; they have a good selection!

You can definitely use a 4S LiPo to jump-start a motorcycle, as long as it has a high burst rating. Just keep in mind that not all LiPo batteries are created equal, so you'll want to check the specs to ensure it can deliver enough amps. But honestly, considering how affordable and compact the ready-made jump packs are these days, it might just be easier to get one of those. You could even find ones that come with built-in air pumps for added convenience!

Sounds good, do you have any recommendations for those jump packs?

Yeah, I'm considering that too. Just looking for the best size and price.
