I'm new to gardening and I've set up some borders where I've planted rosemary and lavender. However, I'm struggling with grass constantly growing in those borders. I'm wondering if using weed killer on the grass would also harm my rosemary and lavender plants. What would you recommend?

Honestly, skip the weed killer entirely. There's really no need for it in your situation. You could either do some manual weeding or consider planting ground cover plants or shrubs. They can help prevent the grass from coming back, but you'll still need to do a bit of weeding now and then. It's easier to take a few minutes each day than to let it get out of hand!
I think using weed killer might be too harsh. Instead, I'd recommend digging out the grass and putting in a proper barrier to separate your borders from the lawn. Herbicides can be risky since they might harm your rosemary, and honestly, it might be easier just to pull the grass out rather than deal with the weed killer hassle.
