Last night, my wife and I were at Home Depot, and I noticed that they have a deal where you can get a 5.0 18-volt battery and charger for $169.00, and you can also add a tool to that deal. I'm specifically looking at getting a Skillsaw, which is the 6 1/2 inch model. I'm wondering if this is a good deal or not?

If you have M18 batteries already, you might want to check out some Home Depot hacks for better deals. Just a heads up, a Skillsaw is actually Skil's circular saw, like how a Sawzall is Milwaukee's reciprocating saw.
For what it’s worth, I picked up the M18 6 1/2 Fuel Circular Saw with a Hackzall and both the battery and charger for over 50% off! I really prefer the Fuel lineup. It might be worth looking up that deal to compare it against yours.
I get what you mean by Skillsaw, but technically, it’s a circular saw. I understand wanting to stick with what you have if your old one died, but I think it’s essential to determine if that deal is still solid compared to some of the alternatives out there.
