I'm in the market for a rear handle circular saw, and I've heard a lot about worm gear drives being the best option. However, I can't seem to find any cordless models. If you own a rear handle circular saw, how does it perform for you? I'm mainly looking to rip sheets of plywood, so any insights would be appreciated!

I've been using the older model, the 2830 rear handle, and it's been great! It packs a punch and supports bigger batteries for more runtime. If you're considering the newer 2930 gen2, I've heard it’s just as powerful but lighter. Just keep in mind, it can overheat with the larger battery packs, so stick to the proper ones. I’ve been really impressed with how well it can handle tough jobs, even with masonry and metal cutting blades.
While the Skilsaw is a solid corded option, I think the real standout is that the only cordless worm drive out there is from Skilsaw. Just so you know, Ridgid has a corded version of a worm drive too which is pretty powerful, but it can be a bit heavy for extended use.
