What Kind of Plant Did I Rescue from Walmart?

I picked up a plant from Walmart for just $4, and it had a lot of dead leaves. I repotted it with fresh soil, and the roots seemed to be mostly okay. After cleaning them, I sprayed them with hydrogen peroxide for treatment. I noticed some marbling on one of the new leaves that are coming out. Any idea what type of plant this might be? I'd appreciate any tips or knowledge!

For now, it’s tough to tell since the leaves haven’t fully opened yet, but it seems like you might be dealing with something beautiful! Once everything unfurls, you’ll have a much clearer idea. It's exciting rescuing plants like this!

It looks like it could be a Dieffenbachia or Aglaonema based on the stem. Those are popular indoor plants and can thrive with some care! Just keep an eye on the leaves once they fully unfurl—it'll help identify it better.
