Hey everyone! I recently made an impulsive purchase of a 3/8 electric ratchet because it came with those high output batteries I needed for my impact tool. However, I'm having second thoughts because it's bulkier than I expected. I'm not in a rush when working on projects, so I don't mind taking my time with tasks like oil pans or valve covers. Still, it was such a good deal with the 2x batteries! I'm curious, how useful have you found your electric ratchets for DIY tasks? Do they make a big difference?

Honestly, I love my electric ratchet. I have both the fuel high-speed model and the brushed version. I find the brushed one more than sufficient for DIY projects. It saves time, especially on bigger tasks. While it might not be essential for DIYers, once you get used to having it, you'll probably rely on it a lot more than you expected!
I use mine more than I ever thought I would, mainly for automotive work. It's a great tool for places where you can't fit a regular ratchet. Just remember to use your manual ratchet sometimes too—it takes some practice to get used to switching. But in terms of convenience, I'm all in!
I've got a non-fuel 3/8 electric ratchet. It doesn't get daily use, but when I do need it, I'm really glad I've got it! It's especially helpful in tight spaces where a manual ratchet can only do a tiny turn. Plus, once you use an electric ratchet, you kinda get spoiled—going back to manual feels like a chore!
Totally agree! I didn’t use mine much at first, but now it's a lifesaver in tight spots.

I hear you! It's a convenience tool for sure. I've also used mine for plumbing and those awkward screws that are hard to reach.
