Best Flowering Plants for a Pet’s Grave

Hi everyone! I recently lost my dog, and I'm looking to honor his memory with some flowering plants over his grave. I don't have much gardening experience, so I'm hoping for some recommendations. Just so you know, the soil there is quite soft and tends to retain moisture. The grave itself is pretty shallow—whatever details that might be helpful!

I'm so sorry for your loss. For a moist area like that, you might want to try planting some perennial flowers like daylilies or astilbes. They can handle the wet soil and come back every year! If you want something that blooms often, consider astilbes—they really thrive in those conditions and have beautiful flowers.

I feel for you! Since the soil holds moisture, you can also think about planting some vibrant marigolds or pansies. They’re not only colorful but also pretty hardy. Just make sure to check if they’ll grow well in your climate zone!
