I just got home and started smelling something that has a strong scent similar to super glue. The problem is, I can't pinpoint where it's coming from. I don't have any super glue and haven't done any recent projects. The only thing I've been doing is spraying Lysol every day. I live in an apartment, and while I have an elderly neighbor downstairs and a neighbor who's hardly ever home, I really doubt they would be the source of this smell. Any ideas on where this could be coming from?

I had a similar issue, and after some looking around, it turned out that a neighbor's DIY project was the culprit. They were using a really strong adhesive, and the fumes ended up leaking into the shared areas through the ventilation system.
Does it smell like model airplane glue? I once had a similar experience where my room smelled like that after my dad thought I was huffing it! We never found the source, but it was an intense smell that just appeared out of nowhere, so I totally feel you. It’s a weird situation!
Have any trees been cut down in your area? I found that sometimes trees infected with slime flux can produce a smell that’s really similar to two-part epoxy glue around their roots.
My neighbors were burning stuff earlier, but it smelled more like a bonfire outside rather than inside. I only notice the smell when I walk up the steps.

Did you smell it too? That’s pretty strange! Did the smell eventually go away? It kinda smells just like regular super glue that was left out!
