What’s that metal thing I see inside my walls?

Hey everyone! I'm working on putting up some shelves and decided to use a borescope to check what's inside the walls to avoid hitting any wires. My stud finder doesn't seem to do the trick. I spotted something metal, but it doesn't seem like it could be a wire. Any ideas on what this might be?

Have you checked what’s on the other side of that wall? It might give you a better clue. Also, if your stud finder is acting up, you might want to invest in a more reliable one or practice a bit more; it's crucial for tracing wires and plumbing.

That metal piece you're seeing might actually be clips used to keep the drywall away from the studs. They’re common for soundproofing between shared walls, especially in apartments! It’s definitely worth checking out if sound insulation is a concern for you.
