I'm really at my wit's end here. I've got a Kidde smoke detector that gives a single beep every night between 8 PM and 10 PM. It's hardwired and connected to a security system, which is no longer functional due to a power outage and lack of battery backup. I've already replaced the battery, checked the wiring connections, and even swapped out the smoke detector with a newer model of the same type, but the problem persists. It's driving my dog crazy, which is making us all feel the stress! The detector is mounted on a ceiling outlet box and there's an attic above. Initially, we thought the beeping might sync up with the HVAC system turning on, but during this hot summer, the AC just runs continuously and the beeping still happens randomly. I'm desperate for any advice on what I should try next!

Have you checked the manual for your smoke detector model? Sometimes, they list reasons for beeping, and it could be linked to low battery issues.
Sometimes, electronic devices can act up due to environmental factors. If you have any strong electrical appliances running, like a fridge or AC near it, they could interfere. Just a thought!
It's worth checking the manufacturing date on your smoke detector too. I recently found out that smoke detectors should be replaced every 10 years. It might be signaling that it’s time for a replacement.
I actually contacted Kidde, and the one I have now is less than a month old after their replacement.

Yeah, I did check the manual, but I forgot to include the model number in my post. They suggested the single beep indicates a battery issue. After contacting Kidde, we received a new smoke detector a month ago, but the problem continues.
